Mutt in the Middle, MitM, the Comic

This is a story that revolves largely around a mutt named Dayton Harlow as he sets out to find his way in the world. Time and time again he often finds himself right in the middle of many dicey situations.

This is a fantasy comic heavily inspired by Japanese manga, largely character driven, and with a pinch of plot thrown in to get the ball rolling.

What MitM technically is…

Another, probably more appropriate, way of looking at MitM is an always evolving work-in-progress. MitM has been a significant growing experience for me (the author/artist). I’m always trying to experiment with each character, chapter, page, down to each panel. Maybe I’m testing out my writing skills or pushing my art style. It’s been a way for me to better understand the process behind making a comic. Don’t forget the long process of figuring out how to get websites like this one up and running to host a webcomic on.

Honestly, since its conception, MitM has never had anywhere significant to go or important plot point to get to. It largely consists of random, unimportant characters bumping into other slightly different, but often equally insignificant characters and the mess they often find themselves in. If MitM had any central theme it would probably be something like “Finding meaning or purpose no matter where you are in life.”

Due to my foolish bravery, you guys get to see something really messy, but possibly something a little unique. Appreciate it???
